The Microsoft Surface Go 3 device is the most recent surface Go device, introduced as the successor to the Surface Go 2 by Microsoft at their surface event on 22 September 2021. It was announced by the company alongside the surface laptop studio, surface pro 8, surface duo 2, and a bunch of surface accessories. The laptop has the same dimensions as its predecessor. The main enhancement is a range of more powerful processors. The laptop is powered by the new Windows 11 operating system.

The consumer version has the slightest low price than the business model but the business model has extra security and management features and optional LTE mobile broadband...The new surface slim phone will work with SURFACE GO 3 but the keyboard has not been updated it has the same as its predecessor SURFACE GO 2. If you have the keyboard from an older surface GO model it's exactly the same type of cover. Keyboard and pen prices are kept separately it means if you will buy this laptop you have to pay for the pen and keyboard separately.
BASIC FEATURES AND CONFIGURATION
One USB-C port plus the 3.5 MM audio jack and a micro SD card slot under the kickstand means you are plugging in one peripheral at a time. But the surface connect port means you don't have to choose between a peripheral and charging. Although you can still charge over USB-C if you need it. It has the latest features like the latest wi-fi 6 (802.11 ax, which is newly supported in windows 11 and Bluetooth 5.0. The surface GO 3 is unique because there are not many small, inexpensive windows tablets vying for your wallet.
Unlike the prior surface GO 2, the current version of the surface GO 3 consumer version does not ship with cellular options, it's a somewhat odd omission. Microsoft reserved the LTE option for what it calls the SURFACE GO 3 for business. The business configuration also allows you to choose either windows 10 pro or windows 11 pro, an odd choice given the optional 4 GB RAM configuration.
Unlike the SURFACE PRO 8, the surface GO type cover has not been redesigned to accommodate the surface slim pen 2, And you still have to buy the keyboard separately. The type cover price depends upon its color and availability.
The front-facing webcam is a 5MP Model that can record 1080p, at 30 fps, and an 8MP rear camera is fine for the snaps. The Dolby Audio stereo speakers sound is very well and beautifully fitted for audio and video calls and sound.
The surface GO 3 looks unchanged externally but inside the case, there's a spec bump. We looked at the top-end model with an intel core i3-10100Y processor and 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of SSD storage.
This cost approximately 47000 INR in consumer disguise or approximately 50,500 INR as, a business model. The cheaper consumer model has a Pentium gold 6500Y with 4GB RAM and 64GB eMMC
or 8 GB RAM AND 128 GB SSD...
Battery life as always depends upon you, Playing video relies on heavily GPU Hardware acceleration.
So, it's actually, very power efficient and we were able to play videos continuously for slightly longer than Microsoft's claim 11 hours, but with the screen set to only 36% brightness, web browsing, using Twitter, copying files, and using office app like OneNote and outlook used up 75% of battery life in just under 2 hours. Battery saver kicked in that this point and we got another 75 minutes of work done...
CONCLUSION
The surface GO 3 is a very good portable device, it's perfect for working on flights, trains, and any crowded place where you can easily handle it because of its size and weight. However, its battery life seems to have regressed either because of the new core i3 CPU OR WINDOWS 11.
The high-quality 220ppi pixel sense screen makes it cool while watching videos and speakers and webcams make for excellent videos calls. There's a reason you'll often see Microsoft's SURFACE GO 3 accompanied by photos of kids and business travelers...
