Xiaomi introduced the Mi 11X Pro and Mi 11X in India last year along with the more premium flagship Mi 11 Ultra. The last is yet to go on sale in the country but the Mi 11X phones are already available online. Xiaomi has launched the phone in two variants both with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM paired with two storage options. The 128GB storage variant is priced under Rs 40,000 and the 256GB storage variant costs Rs 41,999.which makes it slightly more expensive but in my point of view if you have a budget of up to 40k then it will be the best ever smartphone for you.
Performance
The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor which makes it one of the most affordable phones in the country with the flagship chip. The Mi 11X Pro competes with the OnePlus 9 and iQOO 7 Legend which comes with the same chipset. Since the design, display and a lot of other things remain the same as the Mi 11X.it has a 5 GB capable chip that can handle daily tasks with ease. Multitasking, gaming, or streaming are seamless. We noticed There are no stutters or heating issues while using the phone for a few hours while playing games watching videos continuously on the Mi 11X. The device handles these games perfectly with ease. The 360Hz sampling rate makes the display more responsive than other phones. The Mi 11X also has LiquidCool technology to keep the phone’s thermals in control during heavy-duty gaming. It is worth mentioning that since the phone isn’t too heavy or thick, it helps in long-hour gaming. The dual speaker system on the phone is loud but could have been better sound quality.
On the software front, the Mi 11X runs the MIUI 12.0.3 in India but should receive the much-talked-about MIUI 12.5 update at some point. For now, the phone comes with several pre-loaded apps including Xiaomi’s own Mi Store, Mi Pay, and GetApps store. Most of them can’t be uninstalled, so you are stuck with them. Also, you will have to do a few customizations for a cleaner and better software experience.
Camera
The MI 11X PRO'S triple camera setup includes a108 MP primary snapper, 8 MP ultra-wide implementation, and 5 MP SUPER MACRO LENS The rear camera system includes a 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 119-degree field of view, and a 5-megapixel macro camera with 2X zoom. The front has a 20-megapixel selfie shooter. The primary camera might lose a few points in dynamic range and color accuracy, but it manages to snap detailed images in both daylight as well as in low-light conditions. The “Pro Color” mode can make your photos pop, but the saturation levels were bumped up too high for our tastes. The problem with the main camera is that it uses a year-old sensor that doesn’t have Optical Image Stabilisation. That’s a huge miss for a phone that claims to be a flagship killer. The images from the main camera are average. They are often underexposed, lack details, and do not have a good dynamic range. The only positive thing here is the colors which look vibrant.
The Snapdragon 888 SoC shines with its fast storage write performance and great autofocus speed. The extra processing power shines through while shooting in low-light conditions, where lesser smartphones usually tend to stutter. CLICK HERE TO GET DISCOUNT UPTO 23%
BATTERY
The Mi 11X comes with a 4520mAh battery which isn’t huge by current standards but is at par with others in this price segment. At least it helps in keeping the phone compact. The phone performs well in daily usage. While a flagship-tier SoC like Snapdragon 888 delivers unparalleled performance, the extra oomph comes at the cost of battery life. While the 4,520 mAh battery should last an entire day, extensive gaming and running the display at 120 Hz makes that a difficult proposition. If you plan on running games often, you will find yourself topping up the battery sooner. The 33 W charger leaves a lot to be desired. It takes an hour to recharge the battery, which is slower compared to pretty much every phone in this price range.
DISPLAY
The Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro’s 6.67-inch ultrawide AMOLED display sports a resolution of 1080x2400 pixels which amounts to a pixel density of nearly 400 PPI display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 360 Hz touch sampling rate. It has a peak brightness of 1300 nits and supports HDR 10+. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. the major upgrade here comes in form of the E4 material used by Xiaomi, which Xiaomi claims, reduces power consumption. It has also added Adaptive Colour Display here which adjusts the color temperature of the screen to the color temperature of the ambient light. This can help reduce eye strain.
